When we started The Book Torch, we were profoundly aware of how many indie and self-published writers are rejected by “traditional” book reviewers – whether it’s magazines or newspapers – simply because they don’t fit a traditional mold. We wanted to be an avenue that offers reviews because, let’s face it, reviews are important.

Our background is publishing: we’re the team over at the indie press, Underground Voices, that published a handful of books about a decade or so ago.

We’re still publishing, but not so often. Mainly, we’re here, trying to help fill a gap for self-published authors and authors who have their books at indie presses.
